Look! She swam in the Alster.
Markenfilm, something different. This time: the Bathing Beauty was taught how to swim. The result: a worldwide, sensational topic of discussion.
An over-dimensional mermaid has been swimming in the Alster for 10 days. The Beauty, made up of 3 floating elements with a height of almost 4 meters, is the idea of the creative, Hambug resident Oliver Voss. He says: „The Bathing Beauty should illustrate Hamburg’s creative energy and make the city a subject of national debate.“
She was not only a matter of national debate, she also ignited international media interest: a CNN Report on the mermaid and the subject of discussion on various Online sites in several Asian countries, Canada and Brazil. The Bathing Beauty has been reported on throughout Europe.
This unusual art object was built over a period of 3 months in the studio of Peter Ardelt in Dresden. Markenfilm accompanied the various phases of its development up to its positioning in the Alster.
Marcia Kilgore is the founder of the English cosmetic brand „Soap & Glory“. Art plays a special role in her life. She was enthusiastic about the idea from the very beginning and financially subsidized the project.
